DEVK modernizes motor vehicle landscape and migrates successfully over 1.8 million motor vehicle contracts
Cologne, 19.03.2023 – As one of the major motor insurers in Germany, DEVK has taken another important step in the transformation of its IT-landscape for non-life policies. More than 1.8 million motor vehicle policies have been migrated to the new policy system. This means that 7.7 million policies are now already managed with the new policy management software from Faktor Zehn.
In addition, KFZ was put into productive use for the entire sales force and Check24. For this purpose, DEVK relies on the omnichannel offer and quotation system by Faktor Zehn, which is cloud-ready and already in use for other property lines.
As part of DEVK’s cloud strategy, the policy system has also been prepared for the cloud and is to be ‘lifted’ into the cloud segment by segment.

‘With the new software from Faktor Zehn, efficiency and the degree of automation will be increased enormously. This is a significant advantage for us, especially in the price-sensitive automotive sector. This is made possible by the high degree of shadow processing in the end-to-end processes.’
In addition to motor vehicles, DEVK has already migrated household, claims, liability, glass, and travel into the new landscape. In the process, the promise of a fast time-to-market, thanks to the central modeling and provision of the products and a high level of shadow processing across the board have proven to be true.

Today, DEVK employees service approximately 4.2 million customers with more than 15.4 million risks across all clas-ses of insurance in Germany.
