Modernization of the IT landscape: First productive switch of Faktor-ICS at WWK
We are pleased to have reached another milestone in the implementation of our software. From now on, the claims processing in the home contents line of business of WWK Allgemeine Versicherung AG will benefit from Faktor Zehn's newly implemented claims system Faktor-ICS. It is particularly gratifying that this is the first time our Faktor-ICS claims software has gone live with a customer. WWK is thus the first insurer to use Faktor Zehn's new claims solution.
Here is a statement from WWK: 'As WWK, we have decided in 2019 to completely replace the mainframe within four years and at the same time to make the IT application landscape fit for the future. One building block for achieving this ambitious goal is the use of Faktor Zehn's components in the composite area. A very important decision criterion for us was to get the software and the associated services from a single source and from experienced specialists who speak our (insurance) language and thus quickly understand our problems and challenges,' says Dr. Henri Siemens, Head of IT.
With the go-live, we have succeeded in creating benefits for WWK and its customers alike: Faktor-ICS enables faster and more accurate claims processing as well as greater convenience for employees. In addition to claims processing, WWK will therefore also rely on Faktor Zehn software for the administration of insurance contracts in the future.
It was only in the middle of last year that WWK decided to use Faktor Zehn software to renew its IT platform in the home contents, glass and residential building lines of business for private customers and in the liability, property and accident lines of business for corporate customers. The introduction of the new portfolio and claims system, including migration of all contracts, is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
