Our digital Christmas meetings
To end the year together, we got together digitally last week. In total, there were two different events in which our employees could participate. For the safety of our colleagues and due to the ongoing pandemic situation, both Christmas meetings were held digitally.
Christmas Meeting of the Core Insurance Practice Group
Also at this meeting the focus was on the exchange among each other. At the beginning of the evening, our two managing directors Jörg Renger and Dr. Florian Schwandt held a short speech. In this speech they thanked the participants for the successful year 2021, wished the colleagues and their respective families happy holidays and a reflective Christmas season and gave an outlook on the coming year. As a glimmer of hope, our next Factor Ten cross-company meeting was announced in May, which (if the pandemic situation allows) will hopefully take place in Presence.
The location of the digital gathering was again the digital network area, which we have already used at the Factor Ten User Group and our Practice Group Core Insurance meeting in November. For the Christmas occasion, we decorated and adorned the area appropriately and, of course, placed a large Christmas tree in the middle of the digital space. Once again, participants were able to gather at tables or in the open space and communicate directly with each other via video chat. In a special part of the area, there were also several tables where we could play mini-games with and against each other in small teams.
Christmas meeting in Vienna
Due to Corona, we also had to spontaneously change our face-to-face event into a digital event and decided to offer several online events. The Viennese colleagues could choose between the "Globetrotter Challenge", where a world travel quiz is the topic and questions around the world are asked, the "Holli Jolly Advent Calendar" where 24 doors have to be opened and 24 pre-Christmas and fun tasks have to be experienced in a team and the "Trapped in the Christmas Workshop" Escape Room, where you had to save Christmas and rescue Santa Claus. All games lasted about 2 hours and the time is like to follow in a flash! The teams played against each other in the events and had a lot of fun. Afterwards we had a nice chat in the digital network area with fun games like poker, tetris and a drawing duel.
Although we were unfortunately repeatedly unable to meet in person, we had a great and fun Christmas party - considering the circumstances! The digital Christmas meeting was also very positively received by our colleagues. There was a lot of good feedback and we are very happy that we were able to end the year together, at least digitally.
