GVV Pressemitteilung 2025

Cologne, October 7, 2025 – GVV Versicherungen has decided to use Faktor Zehn software as part of its strategic IT modernization. The aim of the joint project is to completely renew the core systems in the area of P&C insurance – for both municipal and private business.

The modernization focuses on the use of the entire Faktor Zehn Suite. This includes modules for product management, policy management, quotation management, claims management, and partner management. The software is provided as part of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. It is operated entirely in the cloud by Faktor Zehn in collaboration with cloud specialist cc cloud (codecentric AG).

The decisive factor in favor of Faktor Zehn was the ability to map a wide range of insurance lines and products on a uniform platform – while maintaining a high degree of standardization and comprehensive automation of business processes. The integrated overall offering of software, implementation, and operation from a single source was also convincing.

“With the introduction of the Faktor Zehn Suite, we are laying the foundation for faster and integrated application and processing procedures, more flexible product development, and higher dark processing. This will strengthen our market position as a high-performance, digital insurer for our members and customers,” explains Katharina Stecher, CEO of GVV Versicherungen.

“The decision to use the Faktor Zehn Suite in the SaaS model is the most important building block for a future-proof, scalable, and cost-efficient IT landscape,” emphasizes Matthias Schulte, Chief Information Officer at GVV.

With the SaaS solution from Faktor Zehn, GVV Versicherungen meets the highest regulatory requirements while laying the foundation for flexible scaling of IT resources. Continuous system monitoring and optimization by Faktor Zehn makes it possible to identify potential for improvement at an early stage and implement it in a targeted manner.

The initialization phase was followed by the official project launch on June 1, 2025. In the first project phase, the focus is on integrating the new systems into the existing IT landscape of GVV Versicherungen and on the initial product launch for the household contents line of business. In the future, the other property lines of business as well as the liability, accident, motor vehicle, and municipal lines of business will also be mapped on the new platform.

“We are proud to have gained GVV Versicherungen as our first customer for the SaaS operation of the Faktor Zehn Suite,” says Jörg Renger, Managing Director of Faktor Zehn GmbH. “This project marks an important step in our strategic development and the targeted expansion of our range of services. We look forward to implementing this joint project.”
