We are specialists in IT for the insurance industry and have been providing innovative software and IT solutions since 2004.
We offer you standard software for your core processes with maximum flexibility. Use the modules individually according to the best-of-breed approach or cover all your core processes with our Faktor Zehn Suite – from product definition to offer and quotation management, policy management and claims management. In addition to the core modules, our suite also includes a flexible business partner, a commission system and an output-management solution. The offering is rounded off by a customer portal for insurance companies and a smart adapter solution for payments.
Our Open Source applications include Faktor-IPS and linkki. For these two applications, we provide you with the entire software, including documentation and source code. This enables you to further develop the software completely independently, if required. Costs are only incurred for maintenance and not for usage.
Faktor-IPS is not only our product management system, but also a tool for developing insurance-specific software. It offers editors for creating, editing and documenting the business model. From this model, program code is generated directly, which can serve as the basis for various applications. Based on the business model, insurance products can be easily defined and maintained. Last but not least, various options are offered for testing and documenting the products and models.
linkki is a framework for designing domain-driven, structured and testable code. With linkki you can design stylish interfaces for business applications in pure Java, with minimal effort. It is the perfect tool if your user interfaces need to map a large domain model with complex business logic, and you don’t want to invest too much time and effort in UI development. You can use linkki both with Spring Boot, Spring within an application server, or just based on JEE.
The selection of the operating model is decisive for the IT strategy of an insurance company. For this reason, insurers should take a close look at the question ‘on-premise or cloud?’. This is not a show-stopper for our software. Our customers are already operating our software products productively within the various usage models.
On-premise operation enables full control of one’s own IT infrastructure and favors more flexibility in terms of adaptability, as there is no dependence on cloud providers. In addition, operation in one’s own network environment empowers compliant consideration of compliance and data protection issues.
Operating in the cloud, on the other hand, offers the ability to scale resources quickly and easily, as well as providing employees with easy access to systems regardless of their location. When choosing the right cloud provider, insurers can also benefit from state-of-the-art security technologies and automation tools from the respective providers.
Consequently, even though there is no right or wrong when it comes to selecting an operating model, every insurance company should define a cloud strategy – even if operating in the cloud is not an option for the time being. Cloud technology will continue to evolve and the right strategy will help you prepare for these future changes. We support you in designing and implementing a suitable strategy that is in line with your business goals.
