DEVK modernizes motor vehicle landscape and successfully migrates over 1.8 million motor vehicle contracts

Cologne, 11.04.2023 – As one of the major motor insurers in Germany, DEVK has taken another important step in the transformation of its IT landscape for non-life insurance. More than 1.8 million motor policies were migrated to the new policy system. This means that 7.7 million policies are now being managed with Faktor Zehn’s new policy management software.

Furthermore, motor  was made productive for the entire sales force and Check24. For this purpose, DEVK relies on Faktor Zehn’s omnichannel-offer and -quoatation system, which is operated in the cloud and is also already in use for other non-life segments.

As part of DEVK’s cloud strategy, the policy system is also already prepared for the cloud and is to be ‘lifted’ into the cloud line-by-line.

‘With the new quotation and policy system and the cloud as a foundation, we will be able to respond more quickly to customer requirements. This will consolidate our position as a successful non-life insurer for the future’

Alexander Erpenbach, Head of Property/Casualty Operations, adds:

‘With the new software from Faktor Zehn, efficiency and the degree of automation will increase enormously. This is a significant advantage for us, especially in the price-sensitive motor vehicle business. This is made possible by the high level of shadow processing in the end-to-end processes.’

Additionally to the motor segment, DEVK has already completely migrated its home contents, accident, liability, glass and travel lines to the new landscape. In the process, the promises of a fast time-to-market, thanks to the central modeling and provision of the products, as well as a high level of shadow processing across the board have proven to be true.
