Nürnberger Versicherung’s new IT platform for its private non-life segments

31.07.2023, Munich/Nuremberg – After the commercial business had already been transferred to the new non-life platform based on the Faktor Zehn systems Faktor-IPS (product system), Faktor-IOS (offer and quotation solution) and Faktor-IPM (policy system) last year, the private business followed at the beginning of July. With the new Private Line, the important LOBs household, liability, accident and building have been completely revised in terms of prices and benefits and have gone live on the new platform. With this step, NÜRNBERGER Versicherung has reached another major project milestone on its transformation course in replacing the host-based legacy system.

Peter Meier, Member of the Management Board at NÜRNBERGER, emphasizes: “Thanks to the go-live with Faktor Zehn, we can now offer customized protection very quickly not only to our commercial customers, but also to private customers. The entire offer and quotation process is fully digital. This is an essential step on the way to making our products and processes future-proof.”

The highlight of the new system landscape is not only the new modern user interfaces, but also the digitalized processes with increased shadow processing. This means that NÜRNBERGER’s sales partners can easily and quickly create and conclude offers digitally – from offer to policy in just a few minutes. By using the central product management tool Faktor-IPS, new tariffs and products can be placed on the market more quickly and adapted to requirements at short notice.

Using the Faktor-IOS offer and quotation system, customers can be offered a wide range of variants for each product of the Private Line (e.g. Compact, Comfort and Premium), enabling them to decide individually which suits their needs best. In addition, the customer can put together his individual protection package in form of a product bundle from all insurance policies – with the exception of building – and all this under one insurance number and, above all from one risk carrier, NÜRNBERGER Allgemeine Versicherungs-AG.

In the further course of the major transformation project, the two tariff lines Business and Private Line are to be expanded by new products, before the mapping of the motor vehicle business to the new system follows.
